Air Chief Marshal Sir Christopher Moran
With regret the school has been informed of the death of Air Chief Marshal Sir Christopher Moran. Sir Christopher died suddenly on May 26th at the age of 54. He collapsed and died while taking part in a triathlon at RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire.
Sir Christopher was a pupil at Bishop Ullathorne during the late sixties and early seventies. He went on to have a successful career in the RAF including service with the Royal Family, he was made Air Aide-de-Camp to the Queen in 2009. His father was very proud of success in the RAF. At the time of his sudden death he was the Commander in Chief Air Command the second highest ranking post in the Royal Air Force.
He married in 1980 Lizzie Goodwin, who survives him with their son and two daughters.
